Airbnb is banning the utilisation of indoor security photographic camera in all of its listings , the companyannouncedon Monday . Previously , Airbnb has allowed hosts to have indoor security cameras in common areas , such as hallways and living rooms , as long as they break them on their listing varlet and did not place them in bathrooms and areas where guests log Z’s .
In ablog post , the company said it is now banning indoor security cameras “ regardless of their location , function or prior disclosure . ” Airbnb says a majority of the listing on its platform do n’t cover having an indoor protection television camera , and that the update will only impact “ a modest subset of listings . ” The change come after legion reports of guests findinghidden camerasin their rentals . The new policy move into impression on April 30 . If a host breaks the new regulation and a guest cover the presence of a camera , Airbnb will investigate and possibly hit the itemization or story from the chopine .
