AMD says that it plans to launch its next major data point centre GPUs , the AMD Instinct MI350 serial , sooner than originally announced .

During the company ’s Q4 2024 earnings call Tuesday , AMD CEO Lisa Su said AMD plan to sample the MI350 with “ lead customers ” this fourth and “ accelerate ” production shipments to “ mid - year . ”

“ So , we had previously state that we thought we would establish [ the MI350 ] in the 2nd one-half of [ 2025 ] , ” Su said . “ And frankly , that bring - up has come up well than we wait , and there ’s very strong client demand , so we are in reality going to pull that production ramp into the middle of the year , which meliorate our relative competitiveness . ”

Investors seemed loosely pleased with AMD ’s fourth - fourth result . The party ’s descent was up 4.58 % as of publish time .
