An Apple advertizement tech employee file a lawsuit against his employer on Sunday over how the party monitors its employee , report Semafor .
Apple want its employee to use Apple devices for employment , but work - issued devices are so restricted that many employees use personal devices , or tie their work devices to their personal iCloud . To do so , the suit suppose , employee must allow Apple to instal software that concede Apple access to search anything store on the gadget or iCloud . The suit take Apple ’s insurance allow it to monitor workers even when off duty . The employee claims Apple used its policies to harm his employment prospect .
The courtship catch some of the challenge that many corporal worker face up : How much access should an employer have to personal devices that are used for body of work , or how much control should they have over personal codification of conduct ? Should Apple lose , it could curbthe growing trend of bosswarein the work . Apple did not comment to TechCrunch but told Semafor that it powerfully disagrees with the allegation in the suit .
