Androidis losing one of its recollective - clip engineering leads . Dave Burke , VP of applied science at Android , say on Thursday that he is step down from the role after 14 years . However , he is not leave behind Alphabet and will be exploring “ AI / bio ” projection within the troupe .
Burke was involved in polar projects at Android , including the Nexus and Pixel telephone , developingChrome for nomadic phone , start out Android television , and spearhead effort to build and ship developer tools .
Burke ’s move follows a slew of layoffs and restructuring at Alphabet this year .
