Ina proxy filing , the ship’s company say the National Center for Public Policy Research ( a conservative think tank ) is submitting a marriage proposal for Apple to “ weigh abolishing its Inclusion & Diversity plan , insurance , department and goal . ”
The think tank ’s proposal take that DEI programs could make companies vulnerable to lawsuit , citingthe late Supreme Court rulingagainst race - base affirmative legal action in colleges and mark that other ship’s company have eliminated or scaled back similar programme . ( Most latterly , Meta eliminated its DEI program , and Amazon isreportedly pulling back as well . )
Apple , however , said the proposal of marriage is “ unnecessary ” because the ship’s company “ already has a well - install compliance programme ” that would presumptively keep it out of effectual worry . The filing also criticise the proposition because it “ inappropriately seeks to micromanage the troupe ’s programme and policies . ”
