AT&T has begun give notice U.S. land authorities and regulators of a security incident after confirm thatmillions of client records carry onlinelast month were authentic .

AT&T alsonotified California ’s attorney generalof the breach .

TechCrunch held its story until AT&T could fill in the procedure of resetting touched customer passcodes .

AT&T finally acknowledged that the leaked data belongs to its customers , including about 65 million former customer .

Companies have data breaches that affect large numbers of people are ask to disclose the incident with U.S. lawyer world-wide under state data breach notification laws . In its notice filed in Maine and California , AT&T enounce it is offer identity thieving and credit monitoring to affected customers .

AT&T has still not identified the source of the leak .
