Carta expect a “ cancellation asking ” meeting with a customer success manager to terminate his subscription , he wrote . But slots were only available starting December 26 , well past his December 17 rehabilitation date , the father posted :

“ This was a one - meter staffing challenge that resulted in a calendar availability issue that is currently getting addressed , ” a Carta spokesperson said . “ client who take living during this prison term can link with our live Support Team via chat or phone during extended business hour . ”
But several of Carta ’s challenger tell apart TechCrunch that they do n’t ask meetings to cancel service .
“ Customers can to the full cancel their subscription directly in the software by clicking a few buttons or by sending us an email , ” said AngelList ’s Sumukh Sridhara , the Founder Products lead . “ In my opinion , there is no good reason for a cap board seller to force you to get on a call . ”
Pulley , another competitor , said the same thing . “At Pulley , our cancellation process is aboveboard . Customers can cancel their subscription by emailing support@pulley.com . There is no necessary to book an date or attend a cancellation group meeting ( that is not a standard industry drill ) , ” Alison Gonzalez , VP of selling at Pulley , say . “ The cancellation petition is work on upon receipt of the email , and we handle these requests as quickly as potential to ensure customer can invalidate before their refilling dates . ”

Carta says its designation arrangement is made to ensure its customers fully understand the physical process and migrate securities data as smoothly as potential .
“ We put up appointment to see our customer have a clear understanding of the cancellation process , better practice to mitigate impact on their shareholder and investor , and broach for the strong and right transferral of security measure data ( as customers miss Carta platform access once they no longer contract with Carta for serving ) , ” it told TechCrunch .
“ We understand that some customer might opt a less tailored glide path . As such , we are always open to feedback and will take feedback into account last forward . ”
Carta also said that its fairness administration is “ not solely a SaaS product ” and as anSEC transfer federal agent , there are “ different step expect than for a typical SaaS fellowship . ”
But Pulley , which does n’t employ cancellation appointments , is also an SEC transfer broker , accordingto its own website .
