Japanese electronics behemoth Casio has affirm that a ransomware approach earlier this calendar month resulted in the thieving of client data .

Casiofirst confirmedon October 7 it had been remove by a cyberattack , but at the fourth dimension did not unwrap the nature of the incident that induce unspecified “ system hoo-hah ” across the company . Underground said in a post on its dark web leak website that it stole more than 200 gigabytes of information from Casio , admit sound papers , paysheet information , and personal information of Casio employees . The group has publish samples of the stolen data point , see by TechCrunch , for claim legitimacy of the breach , and probably in an attempt to further gouge the ship’s company into paying a ransom .
