Dropbox ’s chief client officer , Eric Cox , plans to tread down , accord to a document filed with the SEC on Friday . Cox will stay on in his current character for “ a period of clock time ” to help with the passage , per the filing , and then will preserve as a “ non - executive ” employee through mid - August .

The filing did not note who would replace Cox .

Cox joined Dropbox in November 2023 from Vimeo , where he was the COO overseeing sale , client winner , data , strategy , and operations . Before that , Cox spent 19 years at Adobe in a variety of character , including as digital medium go - to - market sales lead for the Americas , and VP of digital media for business .

In a statement , a Dropbox voice told TechCrunch that Cox stepped down “ in gild to spend more time with his family . ”
