The FBI is warning that chiseler are pose the BianLian ransomware gang using fake ransom money notes sent to U.S. corporate executive director .
The fake ransom money notes , firstreportedby U.S. cybersecurity companionship GuidePoint Security , claim that hackers have gained access to an organization ’s meshwork to slip sensitive data , and threaten to publish the stolen data unless a ransom need is bear .
The scammers are demanding between $ 250,000 and $ 500,000,according to the FBI , which says the missive include a QR codification linked to a Bitcoin wallet . The notes have a return key speech to an office construction in Boston , Massachusetts , and take to be from the BianLian ransomware crowd .
