The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA ) has opened a fourth investigation into theFiskerOceanSUV , this time to probe multiple claims of “ accidental Automatic Emergency Braking . ”

The office ’s Office of Defects Investigation ( ODI ) said it has received eight complaints about these braking incident , three of which have report injury . The ODI has already opened investigations into the elevator car for complaint aboutbraking loss , vehicle rollawayanddoors that wo n’t open up . There have been no recall issue for the SUV .

The NHTSA say the complaint allege that owners get sudden activation of the Automatic Emergency Braking organisation in moments where there were no other vehicle or impedimenta in the path of their cars . “ The braking program range from fleeting , partial program resulting in rapid red of velocity to full program , which brings the fomite to a complete stop in the travelling lane , ” the agencywrote .

The Ocean SUV is Fisker ’s debut galvanising fomite , and it has been a reservoir of much trouble for the clamber startup . Owners began flagging instances of sudden power expiration and trouble with the SUV ’s brakes almost immediately after Fisker began shipping the Ocean last class , aTechCrunch probe revealed in February .
