It ’s not easy for organizations to become datum - driven , despite the intake many have to get there . Even orgs with information analytics teams often struggle to make efficient use of their data . Accordingto a late Gartner survey , fewer than one-half of data and analytics drawing card say their teams are effective in providing time value to their organizations .
German computer scientist Michael Berthold became cognizant of the take while a professor at University of Konstanz , where he consulted with a telephone number of business judge to follow data analytics practices . Today , KNIME has 400 customers pay for the fully managed edition of its political program , including Audi , AMD , Lilly , Novartis , Bayer , Sanofi , Genentech , the FDA , P&G and Mercedes - Benz . Annual recur revenue has been increasing 30 - 40 % per year since KNIME ’s founding in 2008 , according to Berthold , and now sit at about € 30 million ( $ ~32.35 million ) .
KNIME ’s software is built on optical , no - codification workflows designed to integrate with an org ’s system of record . Users can tap KNIME to construct pipelines to transform data , plow information into account and visualizations , or liken one exercise set of datum to another , no matter of where the datum reside .
Through KNIME ’s line of work hub , company can be given automate , and deploy data workflows with optional governance and certificate capacity on top . The hub is also where they can make internal libraries of workflow so that team can apportion and edit workflows as needed , or install work flow make by the wider KNIME community of interests .
