Hewlett Packard Enterprise is investigating a data breach after a well - know hacker claimed to have steal sensitive information from the troupe .
The hacker , who uses the alias “ IntelBroker , ” claims to have stolen a trove of data fromHPE , the enterprise IT division of ironware giant HP .
In a post on a popular cybercrime meeting place on January 16 , seen by TechCrunch , IntelBroker said the stolen data point includes ware source codification , individual GitHub secretary , as well as access tonality to several HPE service , let in genus Apis and platform like WePay , GitHub , and GitLab .
The hacker , who has previously lay claim to have breached engineering giants including AMD , Cisco , and Nokia , also say they accessed HPE user data , include in person identifiable information related to past deliveries .
In a statement to TechCrunch , HPE spokesperson Laura von Pentz sound out , “ HPE became aware on January 16 of call being made by a group bid IntelBroker that it was in possession of info belonging to HPE .
