Japanese telecommunication giant NTT Communications ( NTT Com ) has confirmed that hacker accessed the data of almost 18,000 embodied client during a February cyberattack , strike an as - yet - unknown number of individuals .
The Tokyo - free-base NTT Com , which bring home the bacon phone and mesh technical school to enterprises , said it reveal the data breach on February 5 after set that the hackers had gained “ wildcat access ” to an inner organization used for oversee service orders .
The stolen data includes client names , contract numbers , phone numbers , e-mail address , physical address , and entropy on religious service usage belong to 17,891 organizations , grant to NTT Com .
NTT Com has not yet suppose how many individual employees of the moved organizations had personal information convey in the breach , nor has the company share any particular about the companies that had data steal . NTT Com has more than 100,000 corporate customers in 70 countries around the world , according to its website .
NTT Com did not directly reply to TechCrunch ’s questions outside of its workings hour .
