Las Vegas police force have received funding for tech like poke , licence plate reader , and more from Andreessen Horowitz partnerBen Horowitz . Next on its want list ? contrived intelligence service to go through constabulary footage .
The city ’s Sheriff Kevin McMahill say ona podcast with Horowitz and partner Marc Andreessenthat he require to apply AI to smudge faces or obscure sensitive entropy from body camera footage . “ Hopefully our companies will be able to come up with the ideas for engineering science , but what ’s on your wish lean for kind of pressing issues , where you ’re like : ‘ Wow , I wish well we could do X , and we have n’t estimate out how to do it yet , ’ ” he asked McMahill .
