A holding company affiliate with an Emirati royal category is injecting a new joint venture between Abu Dhabi - ground Marlan Space and startupLoft Orbitalwith over $ 100 million to mature the region ’s domestic satellite manufacturing capabilities .

Orbitworks purport to cook up up to 50 500 - kg satellites annually , and the computer hardware for the first 10 satellites has already been secure . It will operate out of a 50,000 - square - ft facility in Abu Dhabi , and the first orbiter weapons platform is expected to be piece , integrated and test there by early 2025 .
