Meta ischanging the wayit labels subject matter that has been edit or modified by AI tools on Instagram , Facebook , and Threads . For this type of content , Meta is moving the “ AI information ” label to the post ’s menu . In the yesteryear , the label would look directly under the exploiter ’s name .
The company says the label will still come out under content that it has find was generated by an AI instrument . This means that although the label is being hidden for subject matter that was convert or cut by AI tools , it will still be conspicuously displayed under depicted object that was in full generated by an AI prompt .
For content that was father by AI , Meta will “ partake whether the content is mark because of industry - share signals or because someone ego - disclosed , ” the company says .
Meta says the change , which is wind out next calendar week , will “ better reflect the extent of AI used in content ” on its platforms .
