Context.ai , a startup building evaluations and analytics for AI modeling , announced Tuesday that its Centennial State - founders will fall in OpenAI .
Context.ai project to scent down its products following the acqui - hire , per a message on the company ’s website . When reached for comment , OpenAI declined to let out the term of the bargain .
“ Evals are a requirement to build richly - perform AI applications , but they ’re hard to get correct today , ” reads the message . “ We spent two years building evals and analytics for [ model ] at Context.ai — with a few pivots along the way of life . We could n’t be more excited for this next chapter of our journey at OpenAI and are grateful to everyone who play a part . ”
Context.ai was founded in 2023 by former Googlers Henry Scott - Green ( CEO ) and Alex Gamble ( CTO ) . The inauguration raised$3.5 million in seminal fluid fundingfrom GV and Theory Ventures that same year .
One of Context.ai ’s flagship products was a dashboard customers could use to dig into the data generated by a model and figure out if it ’s producing content that really helps answer inquiry . Context.ai drug user could share transcripts via an API , which Context.ai would then analyse to group and ticket based on bailiwick .
“ The set phrase that I always take heed is that ‘ my model is a inglorious box seat , ’ ” Scott - Green told TechCrunch in a 2023 consultation . “ We ’ve spoken to hundreds of developers who are work up [ models ] , and they have a really consistent set of job . Those problems are that they do n’t understand how people are using their mannequin , and they do n’t read how their simulation is performing . ”
