Windsurf , the manufacturer of a popular AI befool assistant , is in talk to be acquired by OpenAI for about $ 3 billion , Bloombergreported .
If the deal happen , it would put OpenAI in direct competition with a number of other AI coding assistant providers , including Anysphere , the shaper of Cursor , which OpenAI plunk for from its OpenAI Startup Fund .
