Stargate , a $ 500 billion project manoeuver up by OpenAI , Oracle , and SoftBank to build AI data centers and other AI infrastructure in the U.S. , is considering investments in the U.K. and elsewhere abroad , according toa Financial Times report .
While Stargate was ab initio launched as a fashion to boost U.S. AI substructure , the project is allegedly weighing external expansion . In gain to the U.K. , Germany and France are on the table , per the Financial Times ’ reporting .
Stargate remains focussed on the U.S. at the minute , to be clear , as originally gear — and it ’s still in the process of raising its first $ 100 billion . SoftBank is expected to put forrard ten of billions of dollar as a mixed bag of debt and equity .
