The Pew Research Center’slatest reporton Americans ’ societal medium habits is out , rounding up social media utilisation trend among U.S. user over the last two years . While there may be a few small tweaks with each survey , Pew mostly ask the same doubt every couple of yr , making it potential to track meaningful changes over meter .

“ A majority of all years groups are using those two platforms , something that really stood out in our data as well , ” Gottfried said .
The data revealed some intuitive but still remarkable age gaps for societal app usage . While only 15 % of people 65 and Old exercise Instagram , that number is 78 % for 18 to 29 - year - olds . Snap and TikTok demonstrate standardized historic period divides , though a renowned 10 % of adult 65 and up account using TikTok .
