After laying off over 1,000 doer across multiple divisions last week andcutting 100 jobs at YouTube , Google CEO Sundar Pichai sent a memo to its faculty warning more layoff are carry this twelvemonth .

Pichai ’s memo said the party will have to make “ tough choices ” to meet its ambitious goals , as reported byThe Verge .

The CEO said this year ’s cut wo n’t be at the scale of last year ’s job cuts , wherethe company lease go 12,000 citizenry or 6 % of its workforce .
