Ukraine ’s Computer Emergency Response Team ( CERT - UA)said in a reportpublished over the weekend that a cut mathematical group has been targeting the nation ’s defense and military company with phishing attacks .
The CERT identified the hack group as UAC-0185 — also known as UNC4221 — without saying who was behind the group . in the first place this year , however , a cybersecurity companylinked that groupto the Russian government .
The hackers have been sending email pretending to be the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs ( ULIE ) , which calls itself “ Ukraine ’s large union of byplay organizations and economic agents . ” The electronic mail were designed to calculate like an invitation to a real conference that took place in Kyiv last calendar week , and were sent forward of the league , grant to CERT - UA .
The drudge are targeting employees working for Ukraine ’s defense contractors and defense team forces , per CERT - UA .
