The International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO ) , a United Nations means that defines international operating standards for civil air power , has corroborate it ’s investigating a cybersecurity incident .
In astatement write on Monday , ICAO said it is “ actively investigating reports of a potential entropy security incident allegedly tie in to a threat actor know for targeting external organizations . ”
This comes after an individual claimed in a January 5 stake on a popular hacking forum to have accessed 42,000 documents from ICAO , including personal information .
A sample of the allegedly stolen datum published on the forum , see by TechCrunch , includes full name calling , dates of giving birth , home and email addresses , telephone set numbers , and details about education histories and work . Some of the records come along to include information about ICAO employee .
