Auto retailer and cable car dealerships across the U.S. are face another day of outages after a second cyberattack hit tech company CDK Global , which develops software used for managing machine client and their vehicles .
In a substance from CDK sent to client Thursday , the company pronounce the additional cyberattack late Wednesday may result in extend outages .
“ At this clock time , we do not have an estimated time frame for resolution and therefore our dealers ’ systems will not be useable at a lower limit on Thursday , ” the message read .
CDK aver that its customer support team “ remain unavailable ” as a precautionary measure to maintain surety .
When reach by TechCrunch , CDK representative Lisa Finney confirm the second incident and another shutdown of “ most of our systems . ”
“ In partnership with third party experts , we are assessing the wallop and providing regular updates to our customers . We remain open-eyed in our efforts to reestablish our services and get our dealers back to business as usual as speedily as possible , ” say Finney .
The company ’s website says its software carry in about 15,000 franchise .
