Community Health Center ( CHC ) , a Connecticut - base non-profit-making health care supplier , has confirmed that a hacker accessed the raw data of more than a million patients .
In afilingwith Maine ’s attorney general on Thursday , CHC said it observe suspicious activity on its connection on January 2 and determined that a “ skilled criminal cyberpunk ” had access its meshwork to slip the health and personal information of more than a million affected role . grant to the filing , the hacker breached the formation ’s internet on October 14 , 2024 .
CHC , which provide services including school - based healthcare and substance abuse computer program to more than 100,000 Connecticut residents , said the compromised data may admit patient role ’ address , phone number , diagnosis , discussion point , tryout outcome , Social Security act , and wellness insurance selective information .
The nonprofit said the hacker did not delete or encrypt any of its datum and the incident has not affected its casual operation . No major cybercriminal radical has claimed responsibility for the cyberattack yet .
