After WP Engine file a lawsuit againstWordPress co - God Almighty Matt Mullenweg and Automattic last calendar month , Mullenweg — who also possess WordPress.org — blocked the company ’s accession to the open origin project .

“ WPE respectfully bespeak that the Court publish a preliminary injunction restoring and preserve the condition quo as it live prior to Defendants ’ unlawful actions described above . The preliminary injunction need no security measure because regress the position to the position quo will have no disconfirming effect on Defendants , ” the court filing read .
The troupe added that these protections should also be extended to its affiliates , partners , employee , users , and customer .
