Amazon - owned AV caller Zoox will begin rolling out lots of its purpose - built autonomous vehicle in San Francisco and in Las Vegas in the coming week , co - founder and CTO Jesse Levinson announced on theTechCrunch Disrupt 2024stage .
Levinson say that Zoox will start offer rides — starting with employees — in the SoMa neighborhood of San Francisco , and on the Las Vegas Strip . Levinson separate TechCrunch on the sidelines that Zoox is starting with SoMa even though it ’s more difficult in part because the company has an operations center in the area .

The announcement come up a decade after Zoox was founded and four years since it wasacquired by Amazonandunveiled its purpose - built robotaxi .
